Air Transport

The Military Context
The Strategic Defence Review 1998 placed the UK's military on an expeditionary footing.  The resulting transformation process had profound implications for doctrine and equipment capability.  Key to delivering the new vision for agile and adaptable forces is Strategic and Tactical Air Transport.  Air delivery of Force Elements confers global reach, achieves rapid concentration of military effect and is highly responsive to operational requirements.  At both the strategic and tactical level, new developments in the power projection capability of Air Transport (through the rapid delivery, continuous sustainment and timely extraction of spearhead forces) have reinforced Air Transport’s place at the heart of the 21st century battlespace. 

The Civilian Role
In the civilian environment we regard global air travel as sine qua non for commerce and tourism.  Its role in disaster relief is also unsurpassed in delivering essential materiel in time to make a difference.  Military Air Transport has also played, and continues to play, a key role in non combatant extraction operations. Whatever its purpose, Air Transport is the focus of great attention in order to maximise its utility, minimise its environmental impact and mitigate its vulnerability to hostile intent.

Our Expertise
At Inzpire we have the expertise and experience to contribute to all aspects of the effective employment of Air Transport in the civilian and military environments.  We understand the imperatives in the strategic supply chain and the realities of real air transport operations.  We offer assistance to humanitarian and Government aid agencies to develop Air Transport infrastructures coherent with current military doctrine.  From experience, born of leadership in military and humanitarian operations, we can also contribute to successful military airlift planning. This may involve simulation of threats and countermeasures in the training environment leading to safe, yet effective, employment of Air Transport assets in the air and ground battle.

• Trials and Evaluation of systems and tactics, from concept to front line training.
• Implementation of Airborne Information Requirements, including tactical data links, Air Traffic Management regulations and future Advanced Information Networks.
• Large aircraft defensive capability, survivability and threat mitigation.
• Combined civil/military airlift planning.
