What's New at Inzpire

So much is happening at Inzpire. So much is new. We are a rapidly expanding, world-class, aviation expertise house. We are in huge demand and our client list is growing all the time. Despite our rapid growth, the guiding principle of Inzpire always remains constant: the provision of the highest quality advice by experienced war-fighters as well as civilian aviators who have actually "been there".

On the morning of 6 Jun 1944, one of the largest amphibious forces in human history landed on the beaches of Normandy. This audacious feat of planning, cunning and unimaginable bravery remains an example to us all, particularly those connected with the military. For this reason the Officer Commanding the Air Battlespace Training Centre (ABTC), instigated what he named Exercise MOUNTAIN OVERLORD: a 3-day study of the OVERLORD campaign. The ABTC team is an eclectic mix of military, Boeing, QinetiQ, DSTL and Inzpire personnel; The OC's plan was to bring that team together outside the office environment and to discuss the challenges faced during those D-Day landings which are still pertinent today. 10 members of Inzpire were able to participate in the study, which took place over 1-3 May.

Our Battlefield Study, the military name for these trips, was guided by a professional historian with an incredible depth and breadth of knowledge of the D-Day invasions. We visited 10 sites pivotal to the success of OVERLORD; there is no better way to bring these places to life than to walk the very ground with an expert describing what happened there. At each of these ‘stands’, ABTC team members then drew parallels with our present-day challenges. Stories from the map room at Southwick House where Gen Eisenhower lead his meticulous plan, the eerie silence of Omaha Beach, the sobering beauty of the US and UK Cemeteries and the amazing accounts of the glider landings at Pegasus Bridge provided a sometimes emotional reminder of the sacrifice made by our predecessors in ensuring the freedom we now enjoy.

Inzpire are pleased to announce that the Integrated Sensors and Systems division have been awarded a 3.5 year contract to support UK MoD DE&S FAST-Typhoon in the technical support of present and future Typhoon development programmes. This contract award falls on the back of previous technical support contracts that Inzpire have held for the last 6 years. Inzpire have a wide range of contracts with the UK MoD and see this new contract as a further indication of the developing close partnership between the company, the MoD and the front-line forces that receive the benefit of these contracts.

The contract places the ISS division at the heart of the Typhoon avionic programmes and involvement is across the complete platform’s Attack and Ident suite of sensors, systems and weapons. The ability to meet present and emerging capability requirements in the present economic climate and against such demanding operational scenarios is a significant challenge for the UK MoD and the ISS division are delighted to be part of that team.
