Lincoln-based Inzpire Limited has been named as one of the Sunday Times Best 100 Small Companies to Work For for the fifth year in a row.
At an awards ceremony held at London’s Battersea Evolution on Wednesday 20th February, Inzpire were announced as placing 35th on the list.
The Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For lists are compiled in conjunction with the Best Companies B-Heard Survey, which anonymously surveys employees and gathers feedback about their opinion on workplace factors including teamwork, leadership, personal growth and employee wellbeing. Scores are totted up to reveal a total out of 1,000 – and it is the top 100 scores which make it on to the Sunday Times lists.
Not only have Inzpire retained their place on the Sunday Times lists, but this year was also the fifth consecutive year that the company has been awarded a 3 Star rating by Best Companies. The star system awards demonstrable levels of employee engagement. The 3 star rating is their highest accolade and is only awarded to companies who demonstrate ‘extraordinary’ levels of commitment to ensuring their employees are engaged in their jobs and in the company.
Inzpire employees also used the opportunity to raise money for charity whilst completing the survey. For every completed survey, Inzpire donated £20 to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Nottingham QMC Hospital. A figure of £2,480 was raised, and was donated to the unit on 12th February 2019.
Al Whittle, Inzpire’s Director of Strategy and Plans, attended the Best Companies awards ceremony on Wednesday evening and said: “Being ranked in the top 40 of the Sunday Times Best 100 Small Companies to Work For lists for the fifth successive year is not only a great honour, it gives yet another welcome independent assessment of the honest opinions of our people who are and will remain the beating heart of Inzpire”.
Jonathan Austin, Founder and CEO of Best Companies, said: “I would like to congratulate Inzpire on their achievement of a Three Star Accreditation status and being named as one of the UK’s Best Companies to Work for. Best Companies have been producing the Accreditation standard since 2006 to acknowledge excellence in the workplace. We are proud that organisations like Inzpire focus on their employees and have been rewarded with an engaged workforce who tell us that they’re a best company to work for.”
Inzpire’s employees receive a number of benefits which set the company’s employee engagement apart from many other employers. In addition to flexible working – which includes working from home – and school-hours contracts, employees receive full private medical insurance, dental care, a minimum of 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays and a number of funded training options.
