The Role

Inzpire Cyber Division is increasing opportunities for roles within defence and wider government. We have an opportunity for a credible and enthusiastic cybersecurity architect, who would be agile and forward leaning to support our customers with their requirements.

This opportunity requires the right candidate to be flexible and driven to achieve their objectives, working locations which would require them to be self-disciplined and able to work remotely, plus the need to travel to customer sites, (various UK locations).

As part of the Cyber Division, this role would be required to lead network integration activities and continuing development of in-service systems to enable cybersecurity training and exercises for our customers. They will also assist the customer with stakeholder management and liaison in cybersecurity procurement programmes.

The role will include: 

• Provision of security architecture specific support and advice to MoD programmes 
• Understanding aspects of cyber training and exercise integration management 
• Liaising with key stakeholders including platform delivery teams and industry 
• Expert advice to support programme requirements management 
• Review and update of project delivery documentation e.g. use of AgilePM Methodology to achieved the desired objectives.
• Review and advise on security documentation e.g. provide assistance on reviewing and creating system security accreditation with the production of system RMADS  
• Technical support to project managers, assessment against requirements and problem solving 
• Researching the latest security standards, new security systems, and updated authentication protocols
• Independence, to allow engagement with industry stakeholders 

The Person

We are looking for proactive individuals with a ‘can do attitude’ who are capable of working with minimal supervision and are not afraid to contribute their own suggestions and ideas for business improvement. 

In order to successfully deliver the programme of work you will need to demonstrate: 

Essential Experience: 

• Experience of project management processes e.g. AgilePM
• Knowledge of specialist cyber training environments in particular, virtualisation (e.g. VMWare, VSphere), synthetic replication services (e.g. Traffic generation techniques, Patten of Life, greyspace).
• Network and security knowledge e.g. COMPTIA Networking / Sec +
• Knowledge of IT security architecture e.g. TOGAF

Desirable Areas of Expertise: 

• Knowledge of Windows Administration
• Knowledge of Linux Systems
• In-depth knowledge of the military cyber environment, cybersecurity policy for delivering new systems, network integration policy and requirements management 
• Knowledge of defence security accreditation processes 
• Knowledge of ISO27001, NIST, OWASP, Mitre ATT&K
• Experience of working with government agencies (e.g. MoD, single Service or equivalents within Defence Digital) 
• Recognised by one industry standard certification Cyber Security Certification (CCP/ CISM/ CRISC/ CISSP)
• Previous experience of managing complex cyber projects with industry and service partners 

Due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant must be a UK National and may be required to successfully complete National Security Vetting which may require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks; qualification will also normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.
