The Role

We are looking for a simulator technician (SimTech) who is passionate about technology and wants to join us to help deliver excellence to our customers.

Inzpire’s Mission Training Devices (MTD) Division specialises in creating world-class simulators to enable high-end training. Whether it is landing a heavily laden helicopter in a dusty environment, or a soldier calling in close air support whilst under effective enemy fire, MTD provide realistic simulators that enable training for these situations. 

As a MTD SimTech you will be responsible for supporting MTD simulator devices including supporting development, build and deployment both in the UK and internationally.

You will:

• Maintain and service MTD simulators ready for deployment to support Business Development and contract delivery.
• Support delivery of MTD simulator training in Sintra Portugal.
• Liaise with MTD Operations Lead and MTD Technical and Office Administrator to manage MTD inventory and spares resources.
• Provide support to the design, development and build of new MTD simulator devices.

MTD is a rapid growing division within Inzpire Ltd and as such the job will offer many opportunities to develop and grow team working and technical skills. We offer an exciting, challenging and fast-paced start-up environment with a role that will be Farnborough based but will require travel within the UK and internationally to support contract delivery and Business Development activities.

The Person

Being the MTD SimTech will require:

• Independent and team working within a technical environment.
• Familiarity with computer and simulation related hardware equipment and spares.
• Receipt, repair and dispatch of simulation equipment for BD and contract delivery.
• Liaison with 3rd party suppliers and contractors.
• Supporting preparation of simulator devices for BD and contract delivery. 
• A willingness to learn. 

You will report to the MTD Operations Lead who will help guide and develop you in your role. We will provide a competitive fixed term salary, supply you with appropriate IT, and will provide opportunities for continuous development and training to support you in your role.

Due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant must be a UK National and may be required to successfully complete National Security Vetting which may require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks; qualification will also normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.
