With an application or ‘app’ based modular approach based around a highly powerful geo-visualisation capability, GECO (Land) enables a range of missions and greatly enhances the Situational Awareness of dismounted soldiers and vehicles. Capabilities include mission routing, tactical overlays, datalinks, Joint Fires targeting and survey mensuration. The system can be hosted on a range of customer-specific hardware devices, and provides the end user with a high degree of utility through the use of standard VMF and environment-ready touch screen technology. It displays an intuitive user interface, reducing the cognitive burden and training time.
GECO (Land) provides powerful mapping and satellite imagery capabilities in both 2D and 3D visualisations for planning, execution and After Action Review (AAR). Furthermore, it can host mission data, J2 overlays and live data feeds, and display intervisibility for both friendly and threat weapon systems. GECO (Land) shares the same architecture and functionality for mapping, documents and geo-referencing as the aviation variants, bringing great benefit to the joint Air-Land environment by offering commonality across all domains.
When linked to our partners’ hardware, GECO (Land) provides a light, powerful, handheld Situational Awareness system. With its revolutionary power management system, the physical and cognitive burden is reduced whilst delivering state of the art capability.
What Makes GECO (Land) Different?
INTEGRATION WITH TACTICAL RADIO NETWORKS ALLOWS GECO (LAND) USERS TO RECEIVE, VIEW AND EXPLOIT IMAGERY, ASSOCIATED METADATA AND MISSION SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS, AS WELL AS IDENTIFY AND TRACK BATTLEFIELD OBJECTS BOTH WITHIN AND BEYOND LINE OF SIGHT.
This networked technology enables the generation of target information for accurate and effective planning and delivery of Joint Fires in operations, significantly enhancing the Air Land Integration (ALI) capability of nations worldwide. Compatible with numerous tactical radio assets, GECO (Land) contributes towards the safety in operations of warfighters both in the UK and abroad.
