Synthetic Training
However, before looking forward, it’s worth a quick review of some standout moments from the end of last year.
2015 presented an opportunity to dust off our unique distributed training toolset and get back into the business that really sets Inzpire apart from other synthetic training deliverers. While maintaining a normal drumbeat of activity at the ABTC, we were able to deliver two significant ‘firsts’; the first distributed E-3D to E-3A AWACS training as well as the first distributed Pre-Deployment Training for HMS Defender before her departure on operations.
In amongst all of this we helped to incorporate the infrastructure and operations of the Air Warfare Centre’s live exercise programme into the ABTC. Indeed one of our number was formally recognised with the award of a JFACC commendation for his drive and determination in ensuring the successful establishment of what is now a live and synthetic training centre of excellence. Throughout the year we are proud to have received such great feedback from our military partners:
“Inzpire have provided an outstanding service to the training audience and the reputation of the facility remains second to none. The drive, determination and ethos of the Inzpire employees is admirable and at times inspirational to observe. This attitude is infectious and is evidenced by the manner in which new employees have stepped up to the mark with ease and embraced the culture of the ABTC” – OC ABTC
But it wasn’t all work and no play; we ensured that one of the local golf courses provided a suitable backdrop for a fantastic day of team building for all those working at the ABTC.
Looking forward, we will shortly be deploying a number of the team to the USA in order to mentor and support numerous participants at Ex RED FLAG. We expect that this will be a great opportunity to validate the pre-RED FLAG synthetic mission training that was delivered at the ABTC. It will also be another chance for us to draw lessons from the top tier of live collective exercises and to bring them into the synthetic realm.
The recent expansion into the AWC has provided the opportunity to recruit new talent into the ABTC team. As ever it was humbling to see the breadth and depth of talent that declared an interest in joining the Inzpire defence revolution. We look forward to Mark Valentine’s imminent arrival and to the extensive experience he will bring to bear in our service delivery at the ABTC.
As a next generation innovator, Inzpire is comfortable operating at the leading edge of current doctrine and capability. While this is clearly seen in our unique White Force service provision at the ABTC, it is also evident in our research work. Inzpire was selected as a winner in the Defence Solutions Centre Agile Immersive Mission Training competition and our innovation, entitled GHOST, offers the opportunity to beneficially disrupt training paradigms across defence and beyond. This project culminates in concept demonstration in the spring and we look forward to its future development.
