Inzpire Limited’s human factors training contract with RAF 22 Group has been extended for a further 12-month period.
The contract will see Inzpire continuing its delivery of airmanship, crew resource management, and human factors training which it has delivered to the RAF under multiple contracts since 2008.
The training comprises of a two-day introductory course which Inzpire delivers to every individual entering the UK military flying training system prior to them doing their Elementary Flying Training (EFT), followed by a three-day advanced course after EFT where the students can then apply practical experiences to the training. The two-day pre-EFT course delivers lessons on airmanship; human Factors in aviation; Apollo XIII case study; practical exercises; and the reality of flying training, whilst the three-day post-EFT course delivers lessons on error and blame; communication; mental processing; situational awareness; decision making; resource management; operating as a crew; and stress management.
Since the current contract’s original commencement in 2018, Inzpire have delivered almost fifty of their two-day courses and twenty of the three-day iterations. Since 2008, Inzpire have taught human factors courses to around 3,000 students and 1000 flying instructors.
Tug Wilson, Inzpire’s Head of Human Factors and Safety Division, said: “I am delighted to be continuing this training for the UK MFTS. I and my facilitators put our heart and soul into the delivery of these courses, and this is borne out by the fact that we regularly have students staying after time for mentoring, and performance and coaching. It is brilliant to still be using our flying experience to help shape the attitudes of the Military’s future aviators”.
Chris Raynes, Inzpire’s Head of Platform and Training Services business unit said: “This is fantastic news, most importantly for the students. They will continue to benefit from the knowledge and experience of a team of instructors who possess a genuine enthusiasm for the subject and deliver their training through a method of delivery which generates high levels of student engagement”.
A 22 Group spokesperson said: “Inzpire has provided high-quality Airmanship and Human Factors training to us over the past 12 years and that, coupled with their flexibility in programming and delivery, meant we had no hesitation in extending their contract for another 12 months. We look forward to continuing our close relationship with Inzpire.
