The sculpture was unveiled on Friday 8 November.
The project - which has been a joint effort between the IBCC and the Little Pottery Studio in Lincoln - has been designed to commemorate VEDay75 and the 75th anniversary of Operation Manna, the world’s first airborne humanitarian food aid mission.
The sculpture includes a large steel column adorned with 1600 handmade poppies surrounded by flowers, including bulbs commissioned by the Government of the Netherlands to commemorate Operation Manna.
Alongside other local businesses, our financial support allowed local children, disadvantaged groups and veterans to attend craft sessions to help create the poppies, whilst meeting new people and learning new skills.
6 Inzpire personnel also attended the unveiling ceremony.
