An Inzpire Mission Systems team carried out the first of two test and acceptance events with the Royal Jordanian Air Force recently following the signing of a new GECO (Air) contract on F16s and an upgrade for all of their operational helicopters.
Multiple flights were flown on all of the aircraft types to fully test the performance of this latest version of the award-winning GECO (Air) System. The upgraded System, GECO v7 really impressed the pilots and support staff with the latest state of the art rugged tablet computing capability and a major GECO software capability upgrade.
Mark Boyes, Mission Systems Director said "we have a great relationship with the Royal Jordanian Air Force and this latest software upgrade is exactly what they have requested, so they are very pleased. We are passionate to ensure that we constantly develop our products to keep them at the forefront of capability and innovation".
The team are looking forward to returning to Jordan in August to complete the testing and delivery as planned with a comprehensive training plan for all F16 and Helicopter pilots and support staff.
GECO is fielded across 16 different aircraft types around the world, on helicopters and fixed wing platforms, and provides intuitive mission enhancing in-cockpit capabilities not available within the aircraft avionics.
