Ash served with the Army for over 29 years, and has spent his career working with Army Aviation in a variety of theatres, serving in Germany for 6 of those years. As a REME soldier for 14 years he engineered and managed personnel on a variety of Army Air Corps aircraft, whilst his last 15 years saw him serving as a Lynx pilot initially, then Apache Maintenance Test Pilot, and then as a Qualified Helicopter Instructor. He has completed approx 2500 flying hours, with his final 4 years serving on the AAC’s Wildcat Fielding Team/Operational Conversion Unit. Along with Wildcat courseware development, this time has seen him developing user understanding and teaching of the aircraft’s extensive communication systems. For the last 3 years he has also been the AAC’s point contact with industry and Defence Equipment Support, on behalf of JHC Front line command, for user development of the Wildcat’s Mission Support System.
A keen rugby and F1 follower, Ash enjoys travelling with his partner Michelle, and when the time/weather suits, swapping car for motorbike and exploring the delights of UK and Europe on 2 wheels instead of 4.
Welcome to Inzpire, Ash. We are delighted to have you on board for Inzpire's Defence Revolution!
