We are delighted to welcome Paul Smith to our helicopter services team.
Paul joins us as a CQHI flying Wildcat from RNAS Yeovilton.
Paul joined the Royal Artillery in 1985. After a busy period with the Gunners, he diversified and achieved his Army wings in 1997. Paul returned to Germany operating Gazelle and then Lynx 7, 7-TOW, 9 and 9A. It was here where he also attended the first tri-service QHTI course.
A 3-year stint in Belize followed for Paul and his family. Paul spent his time in Central America operating the Bell-212 before returning to the UK in 2005. Shortly after, he qualified as a QHI.
During his time in Army aviation, Paul accrued over 4600 flying hours, operating across the globe from the Americas to the Balkan states, Kenya, Brunei and Iraq. His journey also included two tours with the Army Aviation Standards Branch.
Paul left the Army in January 2021 after 35 years to start a new chapter at RNAS Yeovilton as part of Inzpire's team of Civilian QHI’s.
Paul and his family have Just moved into their ecently renovated house in Burnham-on-sea, Somerset. Paul lives with his wife Birgit and son Johnathan (who is currently supposed to be at University!) and Monty the dog.
Welcome to the Inzpire family, Paul.
