Paul Bolton

Head of Collective Training Division

During his 22 year RAF career, Paul primarily served on the E-3D AWACS. He started his career as a Weapons Controller, controlling Lightnings out of Binbrook, and finished as an experienced AWACS Tactical Director. His flying career peaked when he commanded the E-3D Operational Evaluation Squadron leading a major overseas trial into Network Centric Collaborative Targeting. He served on all the operations that the E-3D deployed on including Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq, amassing over 3000hours flying.

Paul is currently Inzpire’s longest serving employee having joined the company in 2007. He spent 9 years in the Air Battlespace Training Centre (ABTC), the last 3 as Operations Director. Paul takes great pride in having successfully delivered over 300 synthetic exercises, training over 5000 frontline personnel. The ABTC received several awards under Paul’s leadership, including a FRAeS Medal and an AOC 1 Gp Commendation. Paul is unquestionably one of the world’s leading experts in designing and delivering team and collective synthetic-based training, and took over as the Head of Inzpire’s Synthetic Training and Simulation Division in September 2017. He took the helm at as the lead of our Aviation Experts and Synthetic Training teams in May 2018 as Head of Collective Training.

Paul married Mellissa in 1989, has 2 grown up children and, being a very keen cyclist, way too many bikes. Paul is fanatical about rugby Union and supports Northampton Saints and England whenever time allows.
