Harness the power of the GECO environment and create applications for your product using our GECO World Application Programming Interface.
The adaptability of Inzpire’s GECO World Application Programming Interface (API) system means that users can write their own applications to work within the existing GECO environment. This allows users to integrate their own sensors and systems with a proven and world-leading geo-visual environment. Ahead of integration activity, Inzpire will provide training for your personnel if required and will support you throughout the period of development.
The real power of the GECO API is that it allows customers to create their own software applications within GECO’s powerful geo-visualisation environment. This allows platform or weapon specific data formats to be integrated into GECO whilst allowing developers to maintain full ownership of any copyright or proprietary data formats. All of the development and integration work can be conducted without involving Inzpire, if that is the preference.
One of Inzpire’s GECO World partners was recently able to use the API to write their own software to load an aircraft with a mission that had been planned using the GECO mission planning and rehearsal capability. They were also able to download the debrief file from the aircraft, and transfer it back into GECO for a comprehensive user debrief.
GECO offers a world-leading geo-visualisation environment that can be extended through its API. Numerous plug-in apps can be written with the API tools, allowing developers to fully control the display and behaviour of an app whilst providing a number of pre-configured core functions that make the display, search and interaction with plug-ins simple and easy. The power of the API allows GECO to be extended and used across air, space, land and maritime.
As an example, a GECO World partner recently used the API to integrate a laser-based system allowing the designated targets to be populated within the GECO environment.
GECO provides an incredible level of situational awareness through its slick display of mission critical information coupled with the wide range of apps it provides to its operator. The API further enhances the operator’s situational awareness by supporting the integration of 3rd party sensors into the environment. This allows GECO to act as a display for the sensor, with the API providing an extensive suite of tools to make the creation of a graphical user interface for its plug-in apps as simple as possible.
One of our partners used our API to create a display for a radar system within GECO, allowing the radar to act as a situational awareness multiplier when combined with GECO’s powerful 2D and 3D visualisation environments.
GECO utilises the very latest commercial-off-the-shelf hardware within its architecture, providing users of the API with an incredibly powerful and flexible development environment. When new hardware becomes available GECO can easily be migrated to it, ensuring that developers always have access to the latest generation of technology and don’t have to operate within the restrictions often encountered when using ageing on-board avionics.
Using our flexible API, one GECO World partner was able to process information from on-board threat sensors and display this data within the GECO environment.
