The Inzpire helicopter Mission Training Device is a targeted fidelity simulator training system designed to provide customer-specific yet cost-effective capability for standalone, networked and distributed training across the full spectrum of helicopter operations.
This helicopter simulator has been designed and developed by personnel with years of operational experience and training expertise across the breadth of military helicopter types and operations. Our team consists of current Apache and Wildcat qualified helicopter instructors who deliver training to the UK military, helicopter tactics instructors delivering simulator training to European helicopter crews and instructors providing live and synthetic collective training on behalf of the UK’s Air Warfare Centre. These personnel ensure that every MTD is optimised to meet the specific training requirement of each of our customers.
Our extensive operational expertise across multiple rotary platforms also means that Inzpire’s personnel have the skills required to provide comprehensive support from instruction, operation, maintenance and the development of training scenarios to meet changing training requirements.

Inzpire’s Mission Training Device is a tailored simulator solution that delivers the full range of helicopter training from individual cockpit to full crew and crew resource management.
The helicopter simulator can be configured to deliver either military or civilian role training and is capable of being configured to provide a range of helicopter platform replication options including light, medium and heavy, support and attack helicopters as well as paramilitary and emergency services’ platforms.
Our Mission Training Device delivers multi-mission simulator training across the full spectrum of operations and can be delivered with an array of accurate sensor and weapons emulation to fully replicate our customers’ capability.
As well as full cockpit replication, the simulator can deliver key elements of rear-crew training such as crew served weapon replication, winch, hoist and underslung-loads capabilities.
As with all our MTDs the helicopter simulator comes with a networked and distributed training capability allowing for the generation of a combat training centre or air battlespace training capability including multiple platform types and roles.
As with all our Mission Training Devices, the design of our helicopter simulator variant is informed by our understanding of every element of the mission cycle and our recognition that all of these individual elements are equally important. The design and capability of our MTD has been informed by our hard-won experience in delivering helicopter training to UK and international military and civilian organisations. Combined with our expertise in training needs analysis, Inzpire can ensure that each and every helicopter simulator we produce meets the exact training requirement of its customer.
Inzpire personnel train the UK’s Chinook, Apache and Wildcat pilots and crew, and deliver synthetic helicopter tactical training for the European Defence Agency. Our instructors, pilots and crewmen have experience of operating across the full spectrum of helicopter operations both UK and internationally.
This wealth of specific helicopter experience, combined with our experienced simulation engineers and the very latest in COTS products ensures that the Inzpire MTD delivers the very best in helicopter training solutions.
We understand that the quality of instructors and operators is critical to the success of training delivered on any simulator device. Inzpire’s personnel come with an extensive pedigree in the design and delivery of complex and immersive simulator training and are also qualified in ‘train the trainer’ instruction.
Therefore as part of a complete training solution, Inzpire can provide instructors and operators to deliver the required training. Additionally, we can provide extensive support and training of a customer’s own instructor operator team to enable them to get the most out of the MTD.
Inzpire’s wealth of operational and training expertise can also be leveraged to support training syllabus design as well as individual mission scenario development.
To ensure maximum training benefit is gained from each and every MTD, Inzpire offers full through-life support and maintenance packages. We can provide maintenance personnel to deliver:

- Full telephone support during operating hours.
- Regular upgrade and maintenance visits.
- Training packages for customer’s own maintenance personnel
