At 44 miles I knew I was in trouble with rapidly worsening stress injuries to both lower legs.
Over the years I have undertaken some quite extreme challenges and in some testing places around the world, but without doubt The Wall Ultra was by far the toughest on the day.
I came to this event quite late having initially had turned down the challenge set by JP and Chris to run ‘The Wall’.

I am running ‘The Wall’ for Combat Stress having supporting it in fundraising terms for a few years now – as have all my family.
I am honoured to be running ‘The Wall’ in aid of Combat Stress, an amazing charity that assists Service veterans who are in need of mental health support following their time in the military.
I am not built for running, at any pace and ordinarily would shy away from this.
