The aim of the course is to provide participants within military, commercial or government bodies with an overview of the capabilities and limitations of space-based and space-enabled systems, and how these strengths and weaknesses contribute to defence and security missions and tasks.
Upon completion of this course, participants will understand the ‘so-what’ of space’s impact on their life and job roles. They will have an awareness of the space environment, space weather, the orbits currently used by satellites and the roles in which space-based capabilities support terrestrial activity.
Students will graduate with the ability to identify the roles in which space-based capabilities support terrestrial activity and to understand what business continuity plans they may have to consider if space enabling services were not available.
This course is designed as a lesson split into two 45 – 60 minutes segments with a break in between and is designed to fit within a customer’s existing training event. The course can also be delivered as a stand-alone learning event if required.
This course is suitable for military, commercial, or civil bodies where personnel require an awareness of space-based and space-enabled capabilities and how it impacts on them.
