This course aims to provide an overview of space-based capabilities, how those capabilities operate, the services associated with them, and how they contribute to defence and security operations.
Upon completion of this course, participants will have an appreciation of the space environment, space weather and the orbits currently used by spacecraft.
Students will graduate with an ability to describe the roles space operations have as part of multi-domain operations. They will understand the need to gain and maintain control of the space domain through space control operations, alongside developing knowledge of the command, control, and co-ordination activities undertaken to deliver space effects.
This course is suitable for units and staff positions where individuals require awareness and understanding of space domain operations and the roles space operations have as part of multi-domain integration.
