This course aims to introduce participants to the various roles and tasking of tactical helicopter operations. The course will teach students how tactical helicopters can successfully conduct their tasks whilst vulnerable to helicopter-specific threats.
The training begins with the purpose of tactical helicopters, covering roles and tasking, before detailing how helicopters support one another whilst conducting operations.
This course provides students with an understanding of how to operate in a rotary operation whilst vulnerable to threats.
Students will be taught by rotary experts, with course material based on lessons and accounts that come from many years of operating in challenging counterinsurgency campaigns. On completion of this course students will have a thorough understanding of how helicopters survive in the battlespace, with knowledge and skills which can be directly applied to a challenging operational environment.
This course is aimed at anyone involved, or about to be involved in the planning or execution of tactical helicopter operations. It is aimed primarily at the operator level but would also be an excellent option for those at management and oversight level.
