This course will introduce the main principles of radar signal processing techniques utilised in modern radar systems. The curriculum covers the principles of radar signal processing to a depth sufficient to evaluate state-of-the-art defence radar systems.
Radar systems find employment across a wide range of defence applications; particularly within the fields of EW, ISR / ISTAR and Tri-Service Defence systems.
On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to critically assess the advantage offered by modern radar processing techniques as employed by both modern radar systems and legacy systems that have undergone deep modernisation.
This course is designed for students who are required to evaluate modern Radar system and upgraded legacy system performance. The course contains advanced academic material; a background in mathematics is highly recommended for attending students.
