This course aims to provide students with all the skills they need to critically assess the suitability and limits of a wide range of current and emerging telecommunication, information systems, datalink and networking technologies. On successful completion of this course, graduates will be able to analyse and evaluate the performance of communications systems including their performance in a hostile environment.
This course is designed to provide trainees with an appreciation of the likely future advances in, and limits of, telecommunication and datalink systems. Acquiring these skills will enable graduates to evaluate the performance of such technology within the context of the wider ‘system of systems’ networks that are frequently encountered on military platforms.
This course is designed for students who are required to understand telecommunication and datalink principles. The course is suitable for all levels of background within this domain; from ab-initio to seasoned operator. The course contains both foundation and advanced academic material.
