This course aims to allow analysts to challenge their formed views and understand how cognitive bias can and will impact their analysis.
This course helps students to clearly identify cognitive biases as well as define and analyse problems. Using the skills taught on the course, students will enhance their ability to develop persuasive arguments grounded in logic and evidence. In addition, through the week students will learn how to recognise flawed analysis and assumptions in other analysts’ work.
Over time, we all become subjected to biases and groupthink – therefore this course is suitable for anyone who has to think in their role!
This course has been developed in conjunction with the intelligence assessment and end product reporting training to equip analysts with the ability to recognise flawed analysis while at the same time applying the same level of robust analysis to their own work.
