This course will introduce students to the fundamental components of signals intelligence and their applications.
Students will cover a range of topics including how signals are propagated, modulated, and multiplexed for communications intelligence; the fundamentals of radar theory for electronic intelligence; personal communications systems, including mobile phones, satellite phones, trunked radio and high-power cordless phones; and radio direction finding and traffic analysis for network development.
On completion of this course, students will have a fundamental understanding of signals intelligence, enabling further training and employment in this discipline or the provision of intelligence support to signals intelligence units or capabilities.
This course is aimed at civilian and military personnel employed in, or about to undertake a SIGINT appointment, or those new to the discipline.
