This course aims to provide the underpinning knowledge and basic skills necessary to work as a professional in an intelligence role and more specifically as a propaganda analyst. Students will gain a thorough understanding of the activities used to influence communities in contemporary conflict.
By completing this course, students will gain an understanding of the multiple factors that influence propaganda activities. Graduates will be able to define, examine and explain propaganda and influence as well as identify key issues facing a propaganda analyst in contemporary conflicts.
Graduates will be able to analyse enemy products and will have the tools required to counter enemy propaganda actions. By understanding the psychology and the principles of influence methodologies, graduates from this course will be able to describe a range of influence products and methods to aid their analysis.
Graduates will leave with the skills required to conduct basic target audience analysis and force field analysis, and to plan an influence response; ultimately they will be able to design an effective propaganda product.
The course is aimed at new civilian and military intelligence professionals.
