This course will provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the cyclic processes that translate high-level information requirements and the needs of operations and targeting into specific tasks for ISR collection and processing, exploitation and dissemination of assets within an integrated plan.
Each step of the IRM&CM process will be reinforced with examples and practical exercises which include ISR asset selection, the generation of graphics and written ISR orders, and dynamic re-planning.
Completing this training course will assure employing commanders that their staff can optimise the planning and support provided by ISR assets. By utilising their new skills, staff will be able to develop collection strategies in order to address identified intelligence priorities. Graduates from this course will be able to contribute positively to core ISR management and allocation processes.
This course is suitable for personnel assigned to IRM&CM appointments or advisory and liaison roles who already have a foundation knowledge of ISR principles. It would be suitable for roles including, but not exclusive to, collection managers, intelligence/operations centre personnel, request for information and intelligence requirements managers, intelligence staff and ISR aircrew who are appointed to operational ISR advisory/liaison roles.
