This course provides a fundamental understanding of UAS and RPAS types, components and roles to those entering the world of uncrewed/remotely piloted/crewed air systems. The course aims to equip students with the foundation knowledge required for the operation of UAS and RPAS, including understanding their ISR sensors and communications systems.
This course provides students with the knowledge needed to undertake a career in the UAS/RPAS arena. On completion of the course, graduates will understand UAS/RPAS components, typical operational roles, and mission-related threats. In addition, they will be introduced to conceptual thinking for future platforms and sensors likely to be fielded for employment.
The UAS and RPAS Fundamentals course is aimed at individuals beginning a career in the unmanned / remotely crewed domain. It is a perfect starting point for aircrew and ground crew operators, intelligence analysts and operations managers of UAS and RPAS related tasks. It would also provide the ideal initial background for programme managers and systems engineers who are new to UAS and RPAS.
