Inzpire’s Introduction to Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Imagery course aims to provide students with a foundation level of understanding on the principles, capabilities, limitations and benefits to be gained from using SAR imaging within the ISR role. This includes all modes of SAR imaging as well as advanced MASINT techniques such as change detection.
This introductory course provides individuals with the vital knowledge required to use and understand SAR imagery products. It will also give essential theoretical and practical knowledge to operators of SAR equipped assets, to optimise data collection and provide a greater understanding of their specific operating environment.
The course is aimed at individuals who are likely to undertake a role to procure, task, operate or analyse imagery from an asset equipped with a SAR payload in the future, but currently do not possess any baseline knowledge of the sensor capabilities.
