This course is a series of training modules that will introduce students to the increased planning considerations required for the safe operation of an air vehicle BVLOS. The course aims to provide students with a clear understanding of the expanded operational environment and any limitations applied to either the air vehicle or sensor which could impact on mission success.
This course builds on the concepts covered in Inzpire’s Introduction to UAS and RPAS course.
On completion, graduates will have a comprehensive understanding of the types of datalinks used in UAS operations, the differences between LOS and BVLOS operations, the information pathways and equipment used in facilitating a BVLOS link and safety considerations for use.
Completing this course will enable students to gain a thorough understanding of the particular capabilities and issues surrounding UAS operations in the BVLOS mode.
The course is aimed at those embarking on a career to fly, supervise or manage UAS/RPAS routinely beyond visual line of sight.
