This course will introduce participants to the various types and roles of UAS and RPAS operations. The course covers the basics of UAS design and sensor integration and includes an introduction to mission planning and execution.
Students will study basic mission planning concepts to enable them to understand the capabilities and issues surrounding UAS and RPAS operations. This course culminates in a desktop exercise where students will plan and brief a UAS/RPAS mission, applying their new-found skills.
Upon completion, graduates will understand UAS and RPAS mission planning and the types of missions which UAS and RPAS are commonly used for.
This course is aimed at anyone involved, or about to be involved in the planning or execution of UAS and RPAS operations. It is aimed primarily at the operator/worker level but would also be an excellent study option for management and oversight personnel.
