The Inzpire-sponsored RAF Flying Clubs’ Association students have accumulated several hours of rigorous training flying in 2015, which last weekend culminated in the RAF Flying Clubs' Association Aerobatic Competition, held at RAF Halton and hosted by the British Aerobatic Association.
Inzpire has been working with four members of the recently formed RAFFCA Aerobatic Squad during the course of the last 12 months; the Squad’s dedication combined with our support has paid off as one of the Inzpire sponsored students was victorious in the competition.
Flyers drawn from 13 RAF Flying Clubs were invited to spend the morning training alongside some of the country's most experienced aerobatic pilots and then, in the afternoon, compete against each other by performing their display sequence in front of a 5-strong judging panel.
An inspirational performance from Corporal Paul Morrison saw him take first place with an impressive overall score of 79.53%. Paul was presented with the Tony Ayre Blade by Mrs Joan Drinkel, the mother of the late Sergeant Anthony Ayre who won the competition himself last year.
Well done to Paul and all of the RAFFCA students on what has been a very successful first year.
