Osby joins us as part of our continued growth plan.
Osby has recently finished 37 years in the Royal Air Force in a career which saw him amass over 2500 hours as a Tornado navigator and QWI, and command both XIII Squadron and RAF Marham. His senior operational experience includes a spell as Commander British Forces in Northern Iraq and serving as Air Officer Commanding No 2 Group/Chief of Staff Operations and Support, where he was responsible for the command and leadership of one of the two operational RAF Groups, with 13,500 personnel under his leadership, as well as all RAF Operations.
More recently, Osby was the inaugural Capability Director at Joint Forces Command, with responsibility for requirement setting, funding and delivery oversight of information, intelligence, surveillance/reconnaissance, Special Forces and medical capabilities. Finally, Osby served for 4 years as UK Chief of Defence Intelligence, responsible for: providing high-grade political and military Intelligence and advice to UK Defence and Government; the design and leadership (with GCHQ) of UK National Offensive Cyber capability; and senior Defence-level risk owner for UK Defence Cyber Resilience.
In his non-Inzpire life, if such a thing exists, Osby is a Trustee and Chair-elect of the RAF Charitable Trust, and has a number of other Director, consultant and mentoring roles. In his spare time, he enjoys rugby, gardening and cooking (not at the same time), and tolerates (necessary) house renovation.
Osby tells us that he wanted to join Inzpire because of its exceptional people, ethos and energy. He will be looking to support Inzpire activity in whatever way he can, at Board level or more broadly.
Welcome to the Inzpire family!
