To support the planning and creation of QinetiQ’s Test and Evaluation Sovereign Skills program - a structured and bespoke development plan aimed at building a sovereign test and evaluation (T&E) skill set in Australia that launched in January 2022 - Inzpire performed a number of in-depth reviews during the second half of 2021, to analyse and confirm the T&E knowledge held by QinetiQ’s UK-based expert T&E team. The T&E team are the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) whose knowledge and expertise QinetiQ’s program content will be based upon and who will be involved in coaching and mentoring the program’s participants.
Carried out by Inzpire’s Training Services Division, one of the reviews looked in-depth at the T&E technical knowledge, skills and associated behaviours of QinetiQ’s suitably qualified and experienced personnel (SQEP). After eight weeks of analysis, including interviews and site visits, the Inzpire team made recommendations on how to transfer the identified T&E skills and knowledge to QinetiQ’s team in Australia, as part of the Test and Evaluation Sovereign Skills program.
The development and sustainment of a SQEP resource is not a series of independent and isolated activities, but an integrated and dynamic process – a ‘learning journey’. This journey begins by understanding what employees are expected to do and then establishing what they can do, before offering innovative and modern solutions to support them in achieving and maintaining the necessary knowledge and skills to meet their aims and objectives.
In order to complete this full analysis for QinetiQ, Inzpire’s training consultants followed four key steps:
Tineke Brooks, Head of Training Services Division, said: “Inzpire's Training Services Division is delighted to have been able to support QinetiQ in conducting the analysis that has provided recommendations for developing the international Test and Evaluation resource capability of the future".
QinetiQ is the latest in a long line of organisations to benefit from the expertise of Inzpire’s Training Services Division, with the company’s training consultants also having delivered role training analysis projects for Network Rail, as well as providing training analysis services to UK defence intelligence at Defence Intelligence Training Group, Chicksands.
