Members of our team attended the Business Culture Awards on 5th October after being shortlisted as finalists in the category of Best Wellbeing Initiative (Small to Medium Organisation).
The Business Culture Awards celebrate exceptional business culture as being the foundation of accelerating organisational performance. Their Best Wellbeing Initiative award recognised organisations that have advanced employee health and wellbeing, increasing engagement and strengthening business culture as a result, particularly in the context of the pandemic and its detrimental impact in this area.
Although we didn’t take away the award on the night, we were delighted to be shortlisted in this category and for the determined efforts of our wellbeing champion and the wellbeing team to be recognised. They, along with amazing volunteers from around the company, have been delivering a superb range of events and activities for us all to enjoy, including yoga, reflexology, massage techniques, breathwork for stress and more.
As part of our wellbeing offering, we have also worked hard to develop agile, supportive, and trust-based working environments to encourage staff to find the best work-life balance for them. We actively encourage our people to decide where, when and how they work to be productive; supporting home working, while also providing modern, attractive workspaces to encourage professional interaction.
We are currently 12 months into our five-year wellbeing strategy, focusing our efforts on five core factors: physical health; mental health; personal growth; working environment; and financial wellbeing. So far one-to-one engagement and employee surveys show that feedback for our wellbeing initiatives is highly positive.
From its earliest days, Inzpire set out to be different to standard businesses in terms of our supportive approach to our people. We look after our employees as best we can because it is the right thing to do. It was wonderful to spend the evening with fellow organisations who also choose to make workplace culture a priority. Many congratulations to all the winners and finalists from the night!
