As part of a focus on sustainability and reducing our environmental impact, Inzpire has launched a ‘Go Green Car Scheme’ which offers staff the opportunity to lease a fully electric vehicle (EV) as a company car and to make significant savings through the use of salary sacrifice arrangements.
The scheme, operated in conjunction with a national EV provider, allows colleagues to choose the make, model and specification of their vehicle from a full range of UK market EVs, lease the environmentally friendly vehicle as part of an all-inclusive package and also save money by driving an EV at a considerably lower cost per mile than an equivalent petrol or diesel vehicle.
People Director, Rich Havercroft, who has been an EV owner himself for several years said:
“I am delighted to be able to launch the scheme as the first part of a wider package of measures that we will be introducing over the next 6 months to responsibly manage the social and environmental effects of our operations. We are already investing heavily in remote working technology to allow staff to work effectively from home and to minimise the need to commute or make journeys to meetings. Where travel is necessary, we want individuals to do this as sustainably as possible, and alongside our existing Cycle to Work scheme, encouraging the use of electric vehicles is just one of a number of initiatives we will be launching in the coming months.”
The scheme originated from an idea pitched by one of our team members within Inzpire. In recognition of his initial contribution to a scheme, which will forms a long term initiative with the potential to benefit every employee within the business, we are delighted to have recognised our forward thinking colleague with an inaugural Innovation Award.
