As part of the continued development of the RISING PANTHER exercises, Inzpire’s 92 Sqn White Force team has been developing new working relationships with organisations that support military training.
One of the relationships that Inzpire’s team has developed is with Eshott Airfield, which was recently used as a simulated Forward Operating Base for Chinook and Wildcat helicopters conducting training in Northumberland.
The large-scale exercise involved joint-service participants from across the UK, including a number of airborne resources. Supporting the airborne elements of this Exercise were RAF Control and Reporting Centre personnel, Survival Evasion Resistance and Extraction experts and the Air Mobility Centre of Specialisation.
There were also a range of civilian participants, including Operational Analysts from the Air Warfare Centre and personnel from Eshott Airfield which was used as a hub for the helicopters and Royal Marines. Red Air support was provided by Cobham Aviation Services.
Personnel were trained on how to conduct mission planning in coordination with the other participants over the course of the different missions, including Air Mobility infiltration and re-supply, Personnel Recovery and Air Interdiction. The units taking part were located across the UK, giving participants valuable experience in developing Tactics, Techniques and Procedures in a dislocated mission planning environment.
Inzpire’s experts, based with 92 Squadron at RAF Waddington, were at the forefront of this training delivery, supporting learning and operating procedures for front line elements. With Eshott Airfield as a central location, the team designed, delivered and debriefed the missions, focussing on a realistic threat in a Contested, Degraded and Operationally Limited environment. In a demonstration of the Whole Force Approach, Inzpire’s White Force delivered and debriefed the missions in combination with military personnel from 92 Sqn.
Chris Wright, Intelligence and Scenario Subject Matter Expert at Inzpire Limited, said: “The willingness of Eshott Airfield to support military exercises, in particular Ex RISING PANTHER, has significantly enhanced the training of Royal Air Force, Joint Helicopter Command and Royal Marine personnel in preparation for potential future conflicts. As Subject Matter Experts working alongside our military colleagues we look forward to developing future exercises with Eshott Airfield to further enhance the training of the British Armed Forces.”
