Lincoln-based Inzpire Limited has been named as one of the Sunday Times Best 100 Small Companies to Work For for the fourth consecutive year, rising two places in the list to finish 30th in the 2018 edition.
At an awards ceremony held at London’s Battersea Evolution on Wednesday 21st February, Inzpire were ranked at number 30 on the national list which takes in to account workplace factors including teamwork, leadership, personal growth and employee wellbeing.
It was in the latter category where Inzpire excelled, receiving a special award on the night in recognition of their dedication to staff wellbeing. The Best Companies Wellbeing category analyses critical factors including work-life balance and mental/physical wellbeing in the workplace.
Inzpire’s employees receive a number of benefits to ensure they are looked after, including private medical insurance, dental cover, flexi-working and an uncapped paid leave scheme. It was this scheme, which allows employees to take as much annual leave as they want whilst still receiving their full salary, which was singled out as an innovative initiative for ensuring that the workforce stays happy and healthy whilst working for the company.
The Sunday Times lists are compiled using data collected from the Best Companies employee engagement survey, which covers a range of workplace factors including health and wellbeing, relationships with colleagues and the leadership style of the Company. Every employee is surveyed anonymously.
In addition to providing valuable insight in to their employee culture, Inzpire also used the opportunity to raise money for charity whilst surveying their staff. For every completed survey, Inzpire donated £20 to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Nottingham QMC Hospital. A figure of £2,260 was raised, bringing the total donated to the unit to over £11,000 in the last three years.
Hugh Griffiths, Inzpire’s CEO and one of its original founders, “We are overjoyed that, for a fourth consecutive year, Inzpire has been named as one of the Top 100 Small Businesses to work for in the UK. We are even more pleased to have won the overall award for employee wellbeing, which is a fabulous external endorsement of our supportive culture, deep commitment to our people, and excellent working environment”.
