This programme was called ‘Mission Training Through Distributed Simulation’. The first trial was named Battle Buzzard and ran from 16-20 Oct 2006.
Following the success of the CCD, Inzpire stood up a full training team and our first dedicated training was a Joint Fires exercise called Mountain Dragon delivered in April 2008. Inzpire continues to deliver world-leading Joint Fires training to this day.
Since 2008, our synthetic training experts have delivered life-saving training to thousands of frontline service people from all over the world – many of whom have immediately deployed to conflict zones. There is a well-known anecdote of an individual - who had been trained by Inzpire - having to call in air support during an intense battle. The voice that spoke to him from the air was one that he recognised, and he soon realised he had trained alongside this pilot during an Inzpire-led synthetic exercise.
The Defence Synthetic Air-Land Training (DSALT) contract, which started on 1 January 2008, will soon transition to the Defence Operational Training Capability (DOTC) – Inzpire are immensely proud to have been chosen to manage this transition over a 42-month period.
