Performance Planning
Enhance the safety, efficiency and mission performance with GECO Performance Planning.
Enhance the safety, efficiency and mission performance with GECO Performance Planning.
Modern missions demand frequent role fit changes, different weapon load-outs and multiple load configurations and are often conducted in performance-challenging ‘hot and high’ environments. GECO’s integrated performance planning allows crews to quickly and safely undertake performance planning before and during the mission, ultimately enhancing mission performance.
GECO Performance Planning is a multi-platform solution which calculates information including take-off and landing data, centre of gravity and climb, cruise, descent and hover performance in normal and emergency operating conditions.
GECO Performance Planning enables crews to quickly, accurately and safely undertake critical calculations using a simple, intuitive user interface. Pre-set aircraft configurations allow ‘standard fit’ calculations to be undertaken, with manual configuration changes also possible to meet user requirements. To enhance safety, GECO will automatically alert the user if the performance limits of the aircraft are exceeded.
Ahead of the mission, after an aircraft configuration is selected, GECO’s performance planner automatically calculates atmospheric conditions and provides platform-specific performance calculations for take-off and all subsequent mission phases. Alerts are provided should performance issues be a factor during the mission you are planning – perhaps you have insufficient fuel to complete the route or you don’t have single-engine hover performance at a particular drop off point. GECO makes a positive contribution to the accuracy and safety of your mission planning.
During the mission, GECO’s dynamic performance planning feature assists crews in making effective and safe decisions. GECO will allow the calculation of critical parameters in dynamic situations, for example, calculating the number of troops that can be safely picked up, taking weight and atmospheric conditions in to consideration.
In an emergency situation, GECO’s in-mission performance planning informs aircrew of landing limitations in a non-standard approach configuration at an unfamiliar hot and high airfield.
GECO provides the answers, instantly and accurately, to a multitude of performance-related in-mission questions.
Aircraft data sets change and Inzpire’s experienced mission systems team understands the importance of a solution that allows quick reconfiguration to stay current. The Inzpire GECO Performance Planner is easily reconfigurable in a short timeframe ensuring that performance planning remains aligned with any dataset changes.
Inzpire’s agility means that we can make rapid and affordable changes to datasets or, if preferred by the customer, their personnel can be trained to make these changes themselves. GECO’s advanced configuration management system ensures you remain firmly in control of the status of your system.
GECO Performance Planning has undergone extensive safety clearance in accordance with UK defence standard 00-056 and the Military Airworthiness Authority’s regulatory article 1310. It has been in service with the Royal Air Force’s Tornado GR4 aircraft and is currently in service with the Royal Air Force’s Puma HC2 aircraft – proof that GECO Performance Planning is truly a multi-platform solution and is trusted by aircrews.
