Delivering immersive JTAC, FST and Forward Air Controller (FAC) training at point of need.
Inzpire’s CASE Joint Terminal Attack Controller/Fire Support Team (JTAC/FST) is a deployable simulator that delivers training where and when it’s needed.
The portable synthetic training device delivers operator and trainee competency and currency training.
Extensive use of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware and software provides a cost-effective training solution that can be tailored to meet exact training needs.
Utilising Mixed Reality (MR) technology the trainees can interact with real world form fit function and operational equipment whilst immersed in the virtual world without the need for large static dome projection systems.
The CASE JTAC/FST simulator system is ruggedised for deployed operations but is still highly portable and can be ‘hand carried’ by the operators.
The system delivers training at home, on the range or when deployed on operations to support the full range of training requirements from basic training to complex mission rehearsal and assurance.
CASE JTAC/FST uses the latest in COTS MR technology which removes the need for expensive static domes without losing necessary levels of immersion or field of view. The use of MR enables immersive training in a rich synthetic training environment whilst still being able to interact with real world form fit function and operational equipment.
The CASE JTAC/FST simulator system supports a variety of real-world equipment and form fit function devices which can be configured to replicate JTAC and FST operational equipment, tactical software and communications.
The simulator can be configured to support GPS enabled operational equipment increasing training relevance and operational effectiveness.
Inzpire’s systems are modular by design. Multiple CASE JTAC/FST simulators can be connected together to create networked or distributed synthetic training constellations, enabling individual, team and collective training.
The system can support a full range of tactical and operational training including HQ C2 functions as part of a networked system.
CASE JTAC/FST can also support distributed training for teams across several locations.
The CASE JTAC/FST system’s use of COTS hardware and software provides an easy and cost effective route for upgrading.
As training requirements and technology evolve, CAST JTAC/FST can keep pace to ensure no reduction in training outcomes.
CASE JTAC/FST ‘plug and play’ architecture ensures the seamless integration of new operational equipment as it is introduced.
CASE JTAC/FST simulator systems provide the ability to fully control all elements of a mission.
Full Instructor Operating Station (IOS) functionality allows for the management of complex training scenarios to support judgmental training for the entire team. The system can hold pre-loaded tactical scenarios and has the capability to create and edit new and existing missions.
The IOS provides full control of the training environment for weather as well as night and day operations. CASE JTAC/FST can be configured with terrain anywhere in the globe to match operational areas of interest and support mission rehearsal and assurance activities.
The IOS also has a close air support role player capability to facilitate JTAC/FST training requirements.
To ensure all training requirements are met, the IOS provides full after-action review functionality to support comprehensive debriefing of all mission objectives and tasks.
Inzpire’s CASE JTAC/FST simulator system has been deployed to support synthetic training for JTAC/JFO and Gunner CPs from a number of NATO forces.
