In light of continued growth and success, a new opportunity has arisen within our business development team to work as a business development manager focusing on Inzpire’s training and technical services business offering.
You will be expected to work collegiately with Inzpire’s Leadership Team and heads of division to identify, develop and execute business development opportunities and campaigns to help the company achieve its strategic objectives. You will be expected to manage a portfolio of opportunities with multiple internal and external stakeholders but will not have direct responsibility for the management of any personnel.
As part of the role, you will be expected to develop a deep understanding of domestic and international customer requirements, build commercial relationships, support contractual negotiations, the generation of technical and financial proposals and provide advice to the wider business about the defence and security strategic landscape.
You will have extensive experience in and a deep understanding of the defence sector. You will be a critical thinker, with the ability to innovatively identify new revenue streams and routes to market. Ideally, this will be combined with commercial experience gained in or outside of defence and a proven track record in business development.
You will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to cultivate and maintain long lasting and profitable business relationships with clients and partners in the UK and overseas, understanding that the aim is to drive growth and success. Experience of working with a diverse client and stakeholder base, at all levels of seniority, is therefore highly desirable.
Able to operate independently or part of a high-performing team supporting a demanding and technical customer, you will be comfortable working virtually or in-person in a formal and informal environment.
Due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant must be a UK National and may be required to successfully complete National Security Vetting which may require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks; qualification will also normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.
