Inzpire’s Helicopter Services Division has delivered the first Inzpire-led European Defence Agency Helicopter Tactics Course (EDA HTC), which was successfully completed on 20 April 18 at Royal Air Force Linton-on-Ouse with assistance from rotary experts from across the company.
The three week course was attended by crews from the Czech Republic and Germany who had experience across four different helicopter types; MI-24 (Hind), MI-17 (Hip), EC-135 and EC-145. The first week of the course focussed on the delivery of classroom briefings, which covered a broad range of topics including Electronic Warfare, Defensive Aid Systems, Battlespace Management and Combat Search and Rescue.
During the second and third weeks, the crews were taught how to put their classroom lessons in to practice by flying a series of operationally-focused sorties in the Virtual Battlespace Simulators under the guidance of Inzpire’s helicopter experts. The sorties increased in complexity with the addition of Artificial Intelligence air and ground threats, allowing the students to experience the practical application of helicopter tactics in a non-permissive environment.
Inzpire are very much looking forward to receiving Helicopter Tactics Course 57, who start their course today (Monday 23 April).
