Inzpire will be showcasing its Targeted Fidelity Simulator (TFS), an innovative solution to modern flying training needs, for the first time at DSEI 2017, which takes place at ExCeL, London from 12 – 15 September.
The TFS is a key part of Inzpire's Defence Revolution as the company continues to seek the best ways of meeting and surpassing customers’ training requirements in both capability and cost.
By leveraging its extensive experience in the delivery of live and synthetic training, the Inzpire developed TFS differs from traditional Full Motion Simulators (FMS), which, although still less than the cost of live training, are inflexible and very expensive, due to the high cost of purchase, the need for high levels of support (and associated maintenance costs), the space and infrastructure they require and the risk of obsolescence. In contrast, the TFS can be installed in much smaller spaces, is low-maintenance, fully customisable and easily upgraded. This means each customer’s requirements can be met, whether that be for the aircraft type, weapons systems, or the type of flying training required, from Basic through to Operational.
The Inzpire TFS is designed from the outset to be scalable and networked, allowing for team and collective training to be conducted across multiple simulators either locally or distributed across other sites. Inzpire has already integrated land systems with the TFS, allowing for collective training with land forces.
The simulator uses cutting-edge image and scenario generation software, which is easy to upgrade, ensuring the system is future-proof as new technology becomes available.
Jonny Priest, Head of Helicopter Services at Inzpire, said, “More than 80% of our employees are ex-military, so we really understand the specific needs of those we are training. The defence industry has a history of providing solutions which don’t meet the customer’s requirements, are over budget and are invariably delivered late. Inzpire is changing that: working with the customer to ensure we provide them with solutions to meet their specific requirements, when they need it and at the right price. Born out of customer feedback the Inzpire TFS provides them with a customisable simulator solution that ensures the training they receive is relevant to their needs.”
A fully functional TFS will be showcased on Inzpire’s stand (S9-244) throughout DSEI.
