We’ve won major contracts both in the UK and abroad; announced we will bid for the UK Air Support to Defence Operation Training (ASDOT) programme in partnership with Leonardo and Discovery Air Defence; exported our GECO Air tablet to Indonesia for the first time and continued to grow our team.
If I were to blog about all of these successes, you would still be reading well in to the New Year and would more than likely be asleep in your Mince Pies. So, in a bid to summarise, in no particular order, here is Inzpire’s Year in Numbers!
£24.6m: The amount of revenue generated by contracts signed in 2017.
124: The number of days our Integrated Sensors and Systems Division has spent supporting the RAF during Exercises in America.
17: The number of new contracts signed with Defence customers this year.
5: The number of strategic partnerships entered in to in 2017.
15: The number of countries visited on business development trips.
6: The number of SME Board Meetings our CEO has attended in the Cabinet Office. Also the number of nations that have attended training in the ABTC this year!
570: The number of people who have been trained at the Air Battlespace Training Centre by our Synthetic Training Division.
29: The number of new employees that have joined Inzpire.
60: The number of Apache pilots who have been trained by Inzpire's CQHIs.
400: The number of job applications Inzpire has received in 2017.
31: The number of weeks training delivered by our team at the ABTC.
7,500: The number of miles cycled by Paul ‘Flash’ Bolton (we think he might need to work out a shorter route to the office...)!
1800: The number of hours flown by our CQHIs at AAC Middle Wallop
16: The number of charities and military events/teams that have benefited from Inzpire's sponsorship and charitable donations.
6: The number of nations where Inzpire's Unmanned Experts and ISTAR Division has supported Unmanned/ISTAR programs.
430: The number of bottles of beer consumed by visitors to our DSEI Happy Hour!
1853: The number of years' Military service our ex-Military employees have in total (as of today).
105: The number of miles that Dan Simmons ran, cycled and kayaked during his gruelling Coast to Coast challenge in September!
18: The number of aircraft types that our GECO products have been used on in 2017 (Tornado GR4, Puma, Chinook, Apache AH1, Merlin, Bell 212, Griffin, Su-27, Flanker, Su-30 Flanker, Hawk, T-50 Golden Eagle, Super Tucano, F-16, UH60 Black Hawk, Super Puma, EC635, Cobra, Little Bird)
1,000,000: The number of metres that Bob Chevli has rowed this year. Yes, you read that right. No, I haven't added an extra zero - that really is correct!
