This intuitive, integrated solution seamlessly blends mission planning, execution and debriefing into a singular interoperable platform.

As a low-risk, multi-platform solution, GECO can be rapidly configured to meet the needs of any aircraft, enabling an entire military force to benefit from shared situational awareness. At its core is a flexible architecture that seamlessly integrates with existing ground and air-based mission systems and adapts to emerging requirements.

Mission effectiveness for modern military aviation

GECO comprises a modern mission planning and debriefing system, coupled with an advanced airborne tablet system and military electronic flight bag. Originally fielded by the UK MOD in 2008, the system is currently in service across 22 different fast jet, helicopter and multi-engine platforms in the UK and overseas. Customers include the UK’s Military Flying Training System and the helicopters of the UK Joint Aviation Command.

GECO MISSION PLANNING AND DEBRIEF SYSTEM

High interoperability

As a network-enabled system, GECO’s mission data can be quickly shared between disparate GECO users. Plans can be exported to onboard aircraft avionics systems and mission information is easily exchanged with other existing planning systems.

Platform-specific performance planning

GECO enables rapid and accurate route planning before and during mission execution with automated calculations of atmospheric conditions and aircraft parameters, including troop weight limits and fuel consumption. Alerts appear if any performance limitations are exceeded.

Mission rehearsal

2D and 3D flythrough visualisations - supported by data types such as mapping, satellite imagery, airspace structures and threat systems – allow complex scenarios to be ‘flown’ and rehearsed. Target flows, rejoins and weather impacts can be analysed to maximise awareness before taking to the air.

Multi-platform debriefs

Combining data from all aircraft systems into a user-friendly graphical display enables aircrews to review the entire mission from multiple viewpoints - analysing flight paths, weapon deployments, aircraft exceedances and any other relevant data.
