WHETHER YOU’RE FROM A MILITARY BACKGROUND, OR COMPLETELY NEW TO THE WORLD OF DEFENCE, WE HAVE PLENTY OF EXCITING OPPORTUNITIES TO JOIN OUR TEAM.

Thinking about joining one of the fastest growing defence companies in the UK?

// Application Process

OUR APPLICATION PROCESS INVOLVES SIX SIMPLE STEPS

Current vacancies

After submitting your application or expression of interest, you’ll receive an acknowledgement email; please make sure to check your spam folders if you don’t receive it. Your CV will be reviewed, and we’ll be in contact with an update on the status of your application within approximately 3-6 weeks.

If you meet our advertised requirements, you’ll receive an invite to interview via HR or the hiring manager. The interview will last approximately one hour and will cover your key skills, experience and competencies. Good luck!

If you’re successful, a member of our HR team will be in touch to offer you the position. This will also include a discussion around possible start dates and confirmation of salary.

Once you’ve verbally accepted, our HR team will then send an offer letter via email. This is a binding document that outlines the terms and conditions of employment. You’ll then receive your contract of employment once you get closer to your start date.

You may be required to successfully complete national security vetting, which may require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks. Qualification will typically require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years. During this process, our HR team will be on hand for any questions you may have.

Congratulations on your new role – we look forward to working with you!

WE RECRUIT TALENT FROM ALL ACROSS THE UK

At Inzpire, you don’t necessarily have to be local to our head office in Lincoln to work with us. We’re proud that many of our employees are based all over the UK, either operating as homeworkers, or commuting to one of our sites, or a mix of both.

This map shows just some of the locations where our people and sites are based.

Whilst it’s not possible for all of our vacancies to be remote - due to the nature of some roles - we will always do our best to find a great work/life balance that’s right for you.

EXCEPTIONAL EMPLOYER AWARDS

We’re incredibly proud of the awards and accreditations we’ve received for innovation and business culture.

Real Living Wage

The real Living Wage is a voluntary wage rate which reflects the actual cost of living in the UK.

Under our parent company - QinetiQ - we are accredited with the Living Wage Foundation. This demonstrates our commitment as a responsible employer, paying our employees the real Living Wage as a bare minimum.

"Financial security has a massive impact on people’s wellbeing and mental health, and paying the real Living Wage is an important part of our focus on being an employer of choice for every member of staff."

Frequently asked questions

All of our people are required to hold a BPSS Clearance as a minimum, with some roles also having an additional requirement for a UK Security Clearance (SC or DV). To gain this clearance, you are required to hold a UK passport and to have resided in the UK for the last five years.

Not all our roles allow home-working due to the physical or security-related aspects of the role, however, when hybrid or remote working is possible, it is accommodated by agreement with your line manager. We want our team to achieve a great work/life balance, by doing what works best for them.

Our standard contracted hours are 40 per week for a full-time employee, with part time hours being agreed with your line manager. Due to customer requirements (including providing support to exercise periods on external sites), some start and finish times may vary.

With customers all over the world, some of our employees do have the opportunity to spend a short time abroad – although this will depend on your role.

Yes – there is an abundance of technical roles that we recruit to directly from those leaving the service. We attend the regional (Lincolnshire) Career Transition Partnership (CTP) events and advertise roles on the White Ensign Association (Royal Navy) jobs board, along with trade specific groups and networking forums. We are also part of the ROSE network for the RAF Intelligence community.

No. Whilst the nature of our work relates to the requirements of the UK MoD, you don’t have to have a military background. Whether you’re changing your career, returning to work or just looking for a new role, many of our vacancies are suitable for non-military personnel too. This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Cyber security

  • IT

  • Governance, risk and compliance

  • Marketing

  • Events

  • Commercial

  • Finance

Leaving the military service can be a major step for individuals, so we frequently speak with those considering leaving the forces to provide informal, honest and impartial advice. We have a guaranteed interview scheme for all applicants from the forces community who meet our advertised requirements, and make job offers up to 12 months in advance.

We have publicly pledged to offer guidance and best practice to any local employers who are considering employing ex-military personnel.

Yes – we offer an additional 15 days’ leave.

Providing our exceptional ex-forces staff with the opportunity to thrive professionally and achieve advancement is essential to our success. As well as ensuring colleagues have the appropriate skills and competence, we provide varied and rewarding work opportunities for individuals to grow into.

External training is both encouraged and funded through academic and vocational courses, with ex-forces staff having undertaken training courses or apprenticeships.

Professional development opportunities are available to all staff – regardless of their background, with tailored sessions aimed at enhancing commercial skills including finance, sales, intellectual property rights, structuring contracts and employment law.

You’re welcome to get in touch with our friendly HR team at careers@inzpire.com for any specific questions that we may not have addressed on our website.
