Preparing aviators for the complex human factors involved in military flying operations through engaging training.
aircrew students trained since 2008
Preparing aviators for the complex human factors involved in military flying operations is crucial for mission success and safety. However, effectively training personnel on these issues in an engaging way can be challenging. This is where Inzpire comes in. Since 2008, we have delivered aviation-focused human factors training to all aircrew entering the UK Military Flying Training System, totalling more than 6000 students.
Our approach centres on building strong relationships with trainees to create an open classroom environment.
We start with a two-day introductory course that prepares students for the MFTS. This covers:
the attitudes needed for success;
how human factors can affect performance;
effective interaction with instructors and peers;
and developing motivation, preparedness and resilience.
After initial flying training, students complete our three-day advanced course where they apply their human factors learnings to complex aviation operations.
By fostering honest dialogue, our instructors tailor the training to directly address students' experiences and issues encountered. This personalised method has proved so effective that many students have proactively sought additional one-on-one performance coaching from our team.
Our engaging, student-focused delivery style has made human factors training programmes a core component of preparing UK military aviators for the challenges of flying operations. Our ability to build trust creates an immersive learning environment where students gain vital skills for operational safety and success.
In 12 years of previous service, never have I ever had an instructor who truly believes in the content of every lesson, whose experience, knowledge and stories motivate every individual in the room to be their best. It’s honestly easy to see how Tug’s influence on everyone he teaches makes for a better aviator, and a better air force. Human factors is not the easiest subject to maintain enthusiasm and interest, yet by pure skill and magic, Tug manages it beautifully.
