Inzpire has secured a substantial five-year contract to provide technical expertise to the UK Royal Air Force’s (RAF) Typhoon.
The agreement forms part of QinetiQ's £205-million contract extension with the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) to supply mission-critical engineering services for the Typhoon fleet.
This is one of the most significant long-term agreements in Inzpire’s history, with Inzpire supporting QinetiQ and the RAF in the delivery of technical expertise as the platform evolves with new technologies and capabilities.
Embedded across multiple Typhoon units, Inzpire’s subject matter experts will provide services spanning requirements management, trials coordination, mission data expertise and airworthiness support.
Inzpire's Typhoon delivery team comprises former military personnel with extensive aircrew, technical and trials management experience. Many of the team have been supporting the Typhoon programme with Inzpire for over ten years, enabling continuity of service and platform knowledge to meet the complex requirements to maintain and advance the Typhoon’s capability.
Jonny Smith, Managing Director, Inzpire said:
"Our team's deep understanding of the Typhoon platform, combined with their operational experience, enables us to provide contextually relevant support that keeps military personnel focused on frontline duties.
“We look forward to further leveraging our specialist expertise alongside QinetiQ to deliver exceptional value and innovative capabilities to the MOD.”
The contract agreement will be delivered through the QinetiQ-led Aurora Engineering Delivery Partnership (EDP), through which QinetiQ, Atkins, BMT, Frazer-Nash, KBR and over 380 companies provide the MOD with high-value engineering services to support critical defence programmes. As a QinetiQ group company, Inzpire is subcontracted by QinetiQ to provide specialist subject matter expertise.
