Inzpire's training specialists have delivered a comprehensive Training Needs Analysis in support of the UK Chinook Capability Sustainment Programme.
This major upgrade will introduce 14 cutting-edge CH-47 Extended Range Chinook helicopters boasting advanced digital cockpits, a modernised airframe for improved survivability and automatic flight controls enabling hovering in degraded visibility.
Through an in-depth scoping exercise and detailed analysis, Inzpire identified the training gaps and optimum solutions for transitioning personnel to operate and maintain the significantly enhanced Chinook platform. The team's holistic recommendations ensure RAF air and ground crews and mission enablement personnel receive the right training at the right time and are fully prepared for the leap in capability when the new helicopters arrive.
Inzpire’s approach blended its training services expertise with extensive Chinook operational knowledge and experience from its Aviation Training Division. This collaboration of training specialisms and hands-on experience provided unique insights, optimising the training analysis to shape meaningful, tailored solutions for the customer.
Claire Birney, Deputy Head of Training Services, Inzpire said:
"We're pleased to support the UK Chinook force on this transformational programme. Our experts are delighted to integrate our training expertise, delivering robust recommendations to fully prepare personnel and maximise the potential of this highly capable new aircraft from day one."
The modernised Chinook fleet, replacing the current UK models, will be based at RAF Odiham under a Foreign Military Sales agreement with the US for development and manufacture. Inzpire's thorough training analysis lays the foundations for the RAF to fully maximise the investment.
