In September 2014, Inzpire Limited were approached by Army Air Corps Officers Dave Lambert and Tom Brunwin to ask if we may consider sponsoring their epic 3,000 mile row across the Atlantic in the 2015 Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge. Inzpire already has a well-established relationship with the Army Air Corps through our provision of Qualified Helicopter Flying Instructors to the Army Aviation Centre at Middle Wallop, so we were delighted to help them out.
We are excited that we will be officially sponsoring Dave and Tom, also known as the ‘Atlantic Drifters’, and will be purchasing the oars required for their rowing feat. Their journey will start on 15 December 2015 and take 60 days – during this time the pair will row for two hours before resting for a further two. During their rest periods they will have to sleep, eat, maintain the boat and administer any first aid before they take to the oars again! We are proud to be sponsoring such an impressive display of human endeavour and look forward to working closely with the pair in the lead up to their departure.
Through battling the dangers of the Atlantic, Tom and Dave are aiming to raise in excess of £100,000 for two chosen charities. The pair have chosen charities close to their hearts – Overseas Aid for the Kids of Sierra Leone (OAKS) and the Lt Dougie Dalzell MC Memorial Trust (DDMT). Both of these are small charities set up by individuals and Inzpire Limited will endeavour to help Dave and Tom raise as much money as possible for these fantastic causes.
