Inzpire's second annual reception proves a resounding success

Last night, we were thrilled to host our second annual reception amongst the breath-taking views of Europe’s highest event space, Horizon 22, in London.

Guests gathered to celebrate 20 years of Inzpire

Guests were in attendance to commemorate 20 years of Inzpire, and to look ahead to the pivotal role we continue to play in defence. This included representatives from the Royal Navy, Royal Air Force, US Navy, British Army and defence industry.

We were also joined by leading futurist and keynote speaker, Richard Watson, who provided an insightful delve into the world of AI and technology. Richard has lectured at The University of Cambridge, Imperial College London and Ministry of Defence, as well as contributing to many international publications. His words offered advice and strategies to support the demands of a constantly evolving defence environment.

Looking to the future with Richard Watson

"I was delighted to host our annual reception last night, with so many of our customers and industry friends coming together to celebrate Inzpire, particularly in this, our 20th year.

"I felt privileged to be in a room full of people from Inzpire, QinetiQ and our industry partners - all of whom are 100% focused on their support of our armed forces.

"It was fantastic to hear our guest speaker, Richard Watson, offering us his view on the future of technology and all the possibilities it holds. The pace of technological change can seem daunting, but at Inzpire, we are innovative at heart and ready for the challenge!”

Reflecting on our achievements so far

Throughout the evening, we reflected on some of our successes across the past two decades.

We were founded in 2005: a defence company like no other, with a goal to deliver on-time and on-budget, whilst drawing on real-world expertise to provide an excellent service. We soon secured our first ever contract providing support for classified trials of the Tornado F3 in 2005, followed by our first international contract in 2009 – utilising our helicopter training expertise in Italy and the USA.

In 2010, we began supplying our flagship product, the GECO Mission Planning System, to the British military. We were incredibly proud to achieve our first Queen’s Award for Innovation for GECO in 2015, before being acquired by QinetiQ Group PLC in 2018. In 2021, our Maritime Division was established to provide training and consultancy support to the Royal Navy and other customers.

Then came 2022, when Hugh Griffiths - one of our original founders - handed the reigns over to Bren Nolan, who became our Managing Director. In 2023, we began work to support UAS training for the British Army on Project TIQUILA. A year later, we extended our White Force partnership with the Air and Space Warfare Centre, delivering world-class live and synthetic training.

2025 marked our twentieth year in business, with CASE JTAC becoming the first accredited mixed-reality JTAC simulator in the UK.

Throughout this time, we have stayed true to our original goal, adapting and innovating to deliver excellence in support of our armed forces. We look forward to the journey ahead, helping to shape the future of defence alongside our customers and partners.

"Last night provided an opportunity to reflect on our achievements thus far, and more importantly, the insights shared on the future of technology and AI in defence underlined our commitment to staying at the forefront of innovation for the next two decades.

"We will continue to evolve as a company to meet the challenges ahead and support our customers in true Inzpire style.”
